Upon graduating with a 5 year Honors Bachelor degree of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from Gujarat Ayurveda University in 1984, Dr. Shah traveled to the holy city of Varanasi for further training in Yoga and Ayurvedic Surgery. Afterwards, he completed a 3 year Doctorate degree to attain an MD in Ayurveda and Surgery. He practiced Ayurveda in India before beginning to practice and teach Ayurveda in Europe and North America. His knowledge and experience is vast in the fields of Ayurvedic panchakarma treatments, herbology, Ayurvedic lifestyle management and dietetics, and the management of ano-rectal disorders with specialized Ayurvedic para-surgical procedure known as Kshara sutra.
